On behalf of the organizing committee, it is a pleasure to invite you to participate at the 17th Annual Workshop on Emerging High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS) and LC-MS/MS Applications in Environmental Analysis and Food Safety.
This workshop is a scientific meeting to foster dialogue among scientists in government, academia, and industry to further develop, investigate, and troubleshoot challenges related to advances in emerging HRMS and LC-MS/MS applications in environmental analysis and food safety. The main objective of the workshop is to evaluate practical applications of high-resolution mass spectrometry and tandem mass spectrometry to screening and quantification of organic contaminants in environmental and food matrices.
The theme of the 2021 workshop is “Non-target screening with high resolution mass spectrometry for detecting and identifying emerging contaminants relevant to human and environmental health and food safety”.
Under current gathering and travel COVID-19 restrictions, we will be holding the 2021 workshop virtually with Webex.com. Please take a moment to explore the website and keep yourself informed of the latest updates.
Scientists presenting their research findings at the workshop will be nominated for Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water
(https://psipw.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=990&Itemid=324 ) for a Distinguished Research Grant and Young Researcher Grants. Therefore, we encourage you to present your recent work at the workshop. Both oral and poster presentations are accepted.
Selected papers presented at this workshop describing state of the art applications will be published in the Methods X (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/methodsx/ ) There will be student awards given to student presentations that are judged to be of the highest quality (presentations must be oral). The scientific committee will judge all presentations that are eligible (enrollment confirmed by your academic advisor during Abstract Submission) to determine the winners.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the 17th Annual International Workshop on LC-MS/MS Applications in Environmental Analysis and Food Safety, on October 14-15, 2021.
